Value: $2.1 Million
The Aveo Durack community centre upgrade forms part of Aveo’s $6 million Queensland reinvestment commitment for 2015 of a community centre in their QLD portfolio. The existing community centre was 30 years old and due to the development within the village over the past 30 years, the village had outgrown the current community centre.
Solutions Three worked closely with the client and the consultant team to deliver to the project in a tight time frame while minimising disruption to the daily operational needs of a 700 + Unit retirement village.
The project consisted of 80% demolition of the upper level leaving only the centrally located kitchen and adding an additional 350m2 to the upper level and 320m2 of administration and covered terrace to the lower level. The resort style design defined the community centre as stylish and elegant with a large open plan restaurant and lounge area to the upper level, a new library and Multi purposes areas to the lower level opening out to the pool area.
The project was completed on time for the Villages 30th Birthday celebration to coincide with the grand opening of the new community centre.
